On Super Bowl Sunday, Telegraph Hill Kitchen & Bar will be getting into the pigskin spirit by serving up elliptical, football-shaped flatbreads for the big game. Taking a page from the coaching playbook, your job is determine the play in creating a game-winning customized pizza.
The BYOF – short for “Build Your Own Flatbread” – starts with a plain cheese base ($4) and then sauce it up: marinara, BBQ sauce, buffalo sauce or garlic oil. Next, pick your meat all-stars ($1 each): pulled pork, pepperoni, short rib, grilled chicken, fried chicken, bacon, and chorizo. And lastly, select your special teams veggie contenders ($0.50 each): caramelized onions, tomatoes, red peppers, jalapeños, mushrooms, and banana peppers.
