Sheriff Patrick McDermott, the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office and the Sharon Police Department will host their annual Summer Safety Fest on Saturday, August 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Crescent Ridge in Sharon.
This free, family-friendly event brings together local public safety agencies, community organizations, and residents from across Norfolk County.
Families can take part in an interactive Touch-A-Truck experience, where children can get up close with police vehicles, fire trucks, and other emergency equipment, along with a bounce house and a large inflatable obstacle course.
Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available at the Summer Safety Fest, compliments of the SCU Credit Union. Ice cream will also be available for purchase from Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar.
“The Summer Safety Fest is a big hit every year with local families and a great opportunity for children of all ages to connect with the public safety professionals who are dedicated to serving their communities,” said Sheriff McDermott. “We are grateful for our strong partners at the Sharon Police Department.”
“This is community policing at its finest,” said Sharon Police Chief Stephen Coffey. “The safety fest allows people to easily connect with first responders and have some fun, while establishing helpful connections with local public safety agencies and organizations.”
Crescent Ridge is located at 407 Bay Road in Sharon.
