Get ready to groove as Boston’s legendary seven-piece ensemble, The Chicken Slacks, brings their high-energy blend of classic soul, funk, and R&B to the Fruitlands Outdoor Stage. Known as “Boston’s Hardest Working Classic Soul, Funk, and R&B Band,” The Chicken Slacks have been igniting dance floors for nearly two decades with their electrifying performances and dynamic horn section.
With a repertoire that spans hits and hidden gems from iconic labels like Motown, STAX, and Atlantic, their music pays homage to the golden era of soul while infusing it with fresh energy. Their long-standing residency at Cambridge’s famed Cantab Lounge turned Thursday nights into legendary dance parties, drawing diverse crowds to celebrate the unifying power of music.
Now, The Chicken Slacks bring that same infectious spirit to the scenic landscapes of Fruitlands Museum. As the sun sets over the Nashua River Valley, let the rhythms move you amidst the natural beauty and historical charm of the museum grounds.
