Land's Sake, a nonprofit farm dedicated to connecting people to the land, will hold its annual family-friendly Sugaring-Off Festival from 9 a.m. to noon March 25 at the Bill McElwain Sugar House at Weston Middle School, 456 Wellesley St.
Held each year as the farm transitions from winter to spring, the festival celebrates the New England tradition of maple syrup making. Visitors to the 2017 Sugaring Off Festival can expect educational tours of our Sugar House and demonstrations of our boiling and bottling process, led by the middle school aged participants of our After-School Maple Sugaring Program.
Additional activities include a pancake and sausage breakfast, the chance to purchase the first bottles of syrup produced for 2017, a bake sale, and information on summer programs at Land's Sake, including a popular CSA program and hands-on farm education for youth in grades K-9.
Admission and tours are free; cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted for the pancake breakfast, maple syrup and more. For information, visit landssake.org.
