Shibori is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique renowned for its intricate and varied patterns created through folding, binding, and stitching fabric before dyeing. Beginner classes typically cover folding and binding methods, but stitching opens up a new world of pattern opportunities. The class will cover some basic stitches, as well as strategies for creating designs using various stitches as design elements. You will have the opportunity to dye one or two pieces in indigo. All materials will be provided.
