Join us at First Street Market on Saturday, June 13 from 8-10 PM for the second sound-focused edition of Steep'd, featuring an ambient synth set by NXOR and a gong-based sound bath led by Lu Budzichowski presented on a multi-point sound system. The evening will also feature live visual projections from BLKTRMLNE and conclude with an open sound bath jam where guests are invited to contribute to the soundscape through gentle instruments, voices, and restorative sounds.
We'll begin with a relaxed arrival period where guests are welcome to connect, chat, and settle into the space before transitioning into a quieter atmosphere designed for deep listening.
Guests are invited to engage with the experience in whatever way feels most supportive—whether that means lying down and meditating, journaling, reading, sketching, crafting, stretching gently, or simply listening with full attention.
In the latter portion of the evening, we'll open the space for a collaborative sound exploration. Guests are encouraged to bring acoustic instruments suitable for a sound bath environment, such as singing bowls, chimes, hand percussion, string and wind instruments, harmoniums, etc. Participation is entirely optional, and we'll have a small collection of instruments available to share.
Our tea service, which will run all night, currently features a selection from MEM Tea Imports and is entirely included with entry!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
NXOR is a Boston-based musical experiment launched in early 2019 by Andrew Abrahamson. The project is defined by quasi-improvisational performance, pararhythmic minimalism, liminality, harmonic ambience, and perceptual ambiguity. Eurorack modular composition—with its inherent fluidity and impermanence—aligns naturally with these aesthetic interests and has become NXOR’s primary medium in recent years.
Lu Budzichowski is an integrative wellness practitioner and creative producer exploring sound as a container for rest, regulation, reflection, and connection. Through gong-based sound baths and Steep’d—which she produced under The Ludo—she encourages slowing down and deep listening to inner and outer worlds alike.
BLKTRMLNE (Erica Gaeta) is a multidisciplinary artist, live VJ, and visual art curator based out of Boston, MA. Her exploration of dark and edgy abstraction synchronizes with the frequencies of sound. Her body of work explores deep thought and broad unknowns. She is most interested in how different modes of expression serve as vehicles in channeling energy and forces both physical and metaphysical.
