Our program will give you the skills, mindset, & network to find a job you love, doing work that matters. Join as at our info session to take the next step toward a career you are passionate about.
When most people hear the word "designer" they think of an artist. Perhaps a fashion designer showcasing their work in a magazine or on a catwalk, an interior designer bringing a room together in beautiful harmony, or maybe a graphic designer manipulating digital design elements.
The truth is that design isn't all about what meets the eye. If you're a highly empathetic person with a penchant for understanding people's needs, you could thrive in a design career without ever going to art school. Through a series of individual and group exercises and a short panel discussion, we'll break down what a career in design could be.
HIGHLIGHTS:
In this three-hour, hands-on workshop, we'll help you uncover how design is interwoven into our lives and careers. You'll leave the evening with:
- A greater understanding of the diversity of design.
- A personal exploration of how design is incorporated into your life and career.
- Networking with professionals from a range of design careers in multiple industries.
- Knowledge and resources to help shape a design career that fits your goals and lifestyle.
- Your insights will shape the Design Museum's upcoming Inspiring Careers program.
