See the night sky in new ways during this hour-long stargazing program led by an expert astronomy educator. You’ll learn how to identify stars, planets and constellations, and we’ll uncover the historical importance of astronomy in the early 19th century. We’ll learn how to observe the night sky without equipment like binoculars or telescopes, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

This program is designed for adults and children ages 6 and up with no prior astronomy knowledge. Please no younger children. Bring a hot beverage, dress for the outdoors, and get ready to spend an evening looking at the stars!

This session takes place outdoors if the weather is good and stars are visible with little cloud cover. If there is poor weather and/or significant cloud cover we will hold a virtual stargazing session on Zoom. This program will not be canceled due to weather and there will be no weather-related refunds. We will make a weather call by 5pm on the previous day.

We reserve the right to cancel this program and refund tickets due to low enrollment fewer than ten participants.

For visitors using mobility devices, please note that we will be moving over uneven, grassy terrain. If an accommodation would help you to more fully participate in this program, please contact us before you register.

Please review our current COVID safety and mask policy here.
