See the night sky in new ways during this hour-long stargazing program led by an expert astronomy educator. You’ll learn how to identify stars, planets and constellations, and we’ll uncover the historical importance of astronomy in the early 19th century. We’ll learn how to observe the night sky without equipment like binoculars or telescopes, but you’re welcome to bring your own. This program is designed for adults and children ages 6 and up with no prior astronomy knowledge. Please no younger children. Dress for the weather and for walking outdoors. For visitors using mobility devices, please note that we will be moving over uneven, grassy terrain.

This session takes place outdoors if the weather is good, and if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll hold the session online. This session will not be cancelled due to weather and there will be no weather-related ticket refunds. Participants will be notified in advance if the program will take place online.

Coronavirus safety precautions will be in place during this program. All participants and staff will be required to wear masks/face coverings and maintain social distancing. Groups limited to 30 people.

If an accommodation would help you to more fully participate in this program, please contact Marisa Calise at [email protected].

Tickets $15 for adults; $10 for children 6 to 17 years old. Advance online tickets are required. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Coronavirus prevention safety precautions for this event are as follows: hand sanitizer will be available; all guests, staff and volunteers must wear masks or face coverings; capacity will not exceed 30 guests.
