Star Wars Day

There’s no need to travel to a galaxy far, far away to get into the Star Wars spirit – The Force will be strong when members of the 501st New England Garrison and Alderaan Base dressed as characters from the films roam the Zoo! The costumed characters are local members of the 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion; groups of Star Wars fans who, with the use of their movie-quality costumes, contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work.

Guests are encouraged to wear their own Star Wars attire, take photos with costumed characters and learn about how animal adaptations and behaviors in our galaxy relate to creatures from the films through scavenger hunts and other activities. The animals will also join in on the fun as they enjoy treats and special Star Wars themed enrichment items throughout the day.

Please note: Characters will be available from 10:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

This event is included with general Zoo admission. Rates are as follows:
Adults: $19.95
Senior Admission (62+): $16.95
Child Admission (ages 2-12): $13.95
Children under 2: Free
