On this tour, Jane Lilly ’27 will discuss boundaries and in-betweenness, exploring how we see and move through works of art. The stops on the tour include a lintel (Fez, Morocco, Marinid period, early to mid-14th century); a stained glass window, titled Scene from the Life of Thomas Becket (Canterbury, England, c. 1190–1205); and the painting Piazza San Marco, Venice (c. 1730–34) by Canaletto.

Spotlight Tours are designed and led by Harvard undergraduates from a range of academic disciplines. Each tour is focused on objects chosen by the student and provides visitors a unique, thematic view into the collections. Tours typically feature three works of art, embrace a conversational format, and last about 45 minutes. Open to the public, these tours start outside the museum shop on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 2pm.
