On this tour, Diana Ochoa-Chavez ’26 will examine the topic of injury and repair as it relates to the physical life of art objects as well as the interpersonal relationships they depict. The stops on the tour are the Achaemenid relief fragment Ahuramazda in the winged disk, Italian sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s terracotta Kneeling Angel (1672), and the painting Poèmes Barbares (1896) by Paul Gauguin.
Spotlight Tours offer a chance to explore the collections of the Harvard Art Museums through the eyes of a Harvard student.
