Addiction affects the entire family, not just the individual struggling. That’s why Spectrum Health Systems is offering the Shatterproof Family Program.
On November 23rd, attendees can join experts at Spectrum’s Faris Recovery Center in Westborough to better equip their family with the knowledge, skills and strategies to help navigate treatment and ongoing recovery. Attendees will have the opportunity to bring any questions, concerns or problems to the clinicians and specialists on-hand throughout the day to better learn how to support their family members battling addiction or newly in recovery.
The event consists of understanding and comfort designed for family members, friends and professionals affected by addiction. We'll address finding quality treatment, building a plan of action before crisis hits, dealing with stigma and shame, defining recovery for a loved one or oneself, and understanding addiction as a disease. Families taking part in the Family Engagement Program at The New England Recovery Center are also welcome to partake in the course. For those attendees with family and friends currently at the Faris Recovery Center, time will be provided for visiting during the day’s program.
Refreshments will be provided at this FREE workshop.
