This November, the past comes to life at Buckman Tavern! Special Saturdays will feature living historians and demonstrations giving new insight into tavern and life in the 18th century. Demonstrations run from 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM each Saturday.
November 7 - Meet Ruth Buckman, tavern keeper, who will explain the many things you can do in a tavern - and might bring her spinning wheel along to make yarn for winter! (Outside in good weather)
November 14 - Learn about the herbs in our back herb garden and how they are used for food and medicine, plus take home a tasty fall soup recipe. (Inside)
November 21st - Meet a British soldier living in Boston to find out how to use a Brown Bess musket, and what it was like being a part of an occupying army in hostile territory. (Outside in good weather)
