WINNER! 2013 LUCILLE LORTEL AWARD – OUTSTANDING MUSICAL


Based on the 1991 film starring River Phoenix and Lili Taylor, Dogfight takes place in 1963, with three young Marines enjoying one last night of debauchery before their deployment to Vietnam. Part of their "fun" includes a bet on who can pick up the ugliest date. But when one of them meets Rose, an awkward but idealistic waitress, she changes the game by teaching him the power of compassion. Dogfight received the 2013 Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical and features music and lyrics by the award-winning duo Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (A Christmas Story: The Musical!). Now, the thunderous musical journey of unexpected love, loss and brotherhood comes to the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.
