The SoWa Open Market is one of the largest open-air farmer and artist markets in Boston. With a variety of regional and local vendors, plus food + beverage trucks, nestled among artist studios, galleries, and retail shops on the pedestrian-only Thayer Street, the SoWa (South of Washington) community becomes a vibrant gathering place every Sunday, May – October.

Yes. There are two covered seating options: patio and bench seating with umbrellas, as well as seating beneath a covered breezeway connecting the 500 Harrison Avenue parking lot with the pedestrian-only Thayer Street.

HOW DO I GET TO THE MARKET ON PUBLIC TRANSIT?
The SoWa Open Market is a 10-minute walk or less from the MBTA Orange line Back Bay and Tufts Medical stations, and the Red Line Broadway station. The closest Silver Line 4 stop is at Washington and East Berkeley.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes. Street and metered parking is free in Boston on Sundays. There are paid lots available at 540 Harrison Avenue, 365 Albany Street, 324 Albany Street, and 274 Albany Street. All lots are $10 cash.
