The South Station Tour is a lively walk through the 20th century glimpsing into the railroad past and peering into its future. This free tour focuses on its colorful history and impressive architecture.
It is approximately an hour long indoor/outdoor walking tour of South Station Terminal and grounds. Points of discussion include: geography, architecture, history of the railroad, events in the 20th century that shaped the railroad and the South Station Terminal in particular.
The tour covers three levels of South Station. There is an escalator as well as an elevator. We suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes.
Meet your guide on the first Saturday of the month at 1:00pm at the Tour sign inside the building by the souvenir counter, Summer Street entrance. No pre-registration required. Rain, Snow or Shine.
