SOulFully Textured, A Natural Hair Experience is about the empowerment in loving your authentic self. It is an experience in and celebration of naturally textured hair, specifically designed to educate, eradicate and inspire! The event is highly interactive and features a screening of the movie "Back To Natural" and workshop with the film's director Dr. Gillian Scott-Ward, creative expression, natural hair tips, free health screenings/vaccinations (blood pressure screening, flu shots, pneumonia shots and COVID 19 vaccinations) sponsored by Walgreens, giveaways, paint and chat party, an array of specially curated vendors for attendees to shop, discussions related to eradicating the stigma and discrimination associated with afro textured natural hair and curated fun with a like-minded community. SOulFully Textured is designed to showcase the beauty of embracing one's natural self and changing the beauty standard one celebration at a time.
