Time to light things up Somerville! Illuminations is a month-long lights extravaganza in which you are able to take self-guided tours with our handy-dandy online map featuring the brightest holiday displays around Somerville. By using our map, it will be easy to cruise around and see the best lights in town.


Please note: We’re not doing trolley tours for several reasons, namely the price of trolley rental has become very expensive — forcing us to charge a lot for tickets. We feel the way to make this event as inclusive as possible is to have it be free.


Houses are able to add their decorations to the map until 12/11 - so if you want the most out of your self-guided walking tour, feel free to wait until then.


BONUS: Join us for a Festive Holiday Lights Bike Ride! (12/13 from 5:45-8pm)

Ride into the holiday spirit with the Somerville Arts Council and the Somerville Bicycle Advisory Committee as we tour some of the city’s brightest and most cheerful light displays!
