Organized by the Somerville Foundation for Animals, this free event is a full day of family (and pet) friendly activities, including "contests, demonstrations, vendors and food for people and pets alike." The goal of the festival is "to educate and promote healthy, happy pet ownership and activities" and to raise money for the Foundation’s Somerville Pet Food Bank.
The only festival of its kind in the country, at SomDogFest you can take a free "Come When Called" class, let your dog try dog agility courses, or have your pup practice their scent detection skills! You can also sign up for Best Trick, Best Dressed, and Dance contests.
