The local nonprofit: Heart Hive hosts monthly ecstatic dances in Cambridge!
Every event consists of a short warm-up, a 75min DJ set of all types of music, and a closing facilitation such as a sound healing, kirtan, or meditation!
These events are family-friendly, sober, and safe for all people and walks of life!
If you're unfamiliar with ecstatic dance: it's a non-choreograhed freeform dance where people dance however they want! They get silly, they roll around on the floor, they do contact improv, and they ALWAYS respect each other's personal space :)
Be sober, no phones, barefoot, and minimum talking on the dancefloor are the main rules!
We have an art corner, a cuddle/rest corner, a tarot card altar, and we even host a free brunch after the dance!
The purpose of hearthive is to build a safe and resilient community where people can come, dance, be themselves and make new friends!
