Join a 75-minute intimate, 4-person restorative experience co-held by songleader & sound artist Jordan Mudd & Reiki practitioner elena elizabeth.
In a song bath, Jordan uses music, sound, and song to create a sonic container within which relaxation, presence, embodiment, and release can be found. Voice is his primary instrument, both improvisationally and through the use of simple, repeatable songs to support your emotional process - accompanied by gentle guitar, sound bowls, chimes, and percussion. Jordan often makes invitations to participants to bring their own voices into the experience as well, at their own choosing. There will be an opportunity at the beginning of each session for participants to name any emotions they'd like to be present with, which will shape the music and song choice.
Reiki: Rei = Universal, Ki = Vital energy. Reiki is a system of healing through channeling life force energy through one's hands. elena has accompanied healing as a Reiki practitioner for over 12 years, and brings to this practice deep listening and gentle accompaniment. Throughout the song bath, each person will receive around 15 minutes of individualized Reiki. There will be opportunities for participants to note what areas of their bodies they'd like to focus on if desired, and if they are or are not comfortable with hands-on touch.
elena and Jordan work intuitively, so each session will be different and responsive to the energy of the people in the room.
