Learn the basics of powder coating!


Class Description

Learn the basics of powder coating. Take home a small steel mobius strip for home or garden.

The materials fee for this class is $20. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts Cash, CashApp, Check or Venmo.


Learning Objectives

Instructor - Eden Attar @epifemmeology

Eden Attar is an installation artist, art conservation technician, and the former Artisans Asylum Metal Shop Lead. Her work has been supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Harvard ArtLab, the Harvard Ed Portal, and the Luminary St. Louis. Eden sees education as part of her artistic practice and is interested in nontraditional and experiential forms of teaching and learning.


Target Audience

Beginners to poweder coating and/or folks curious about Artisans Asylums' facilities. Students must be 18 years or older.

Class Policies

Attire: Closed-toed shoes are required throughout Artisans Asylum. If you already have an N95 or better NIOSH-approved mask or respirator bring your own. A2 can supply disposable masks as needed.
