On March 31, Haley Katrin Studios, EBASS, and Right Turn present Singing Sober: Musicians Share Stories of Recovery. Celebrating the strength and power of those who choose to embrace sobriety, this event will feature Melissa Ferrick, MB Padfield, and Anjimile sharing their stories of the struggles, difficulties, and rewards of the journey towards recovery. The event will also feature an open mic where audience members can share their own experiences. We welcome everyone, sober or not, to join us in a gathering and celebration of Boston's sober music community!

FEATURING:

MELISSA FERRICK: Ferrick has released 17 albums over the last 23 years. Signed to Atlantic Records at age 21 after opening up for Morrissey in the US, Ferrick now owns and operates the nationally distributed independent record label Right On Records. An eight-time Boston Music Award winner, Ferrick has shared the stage with Bob Dylan, Ani DiFranco, The Indigo Girls, and many others, and is regarded as one of the most prolific and hardworking artists in the business. | www.melissaferrick.com

MB PADFIELD: Singer/songwriter based in Boston, MA. Her music is a fusion is pop, rock, blues, jazz, and hip-hop. MB is a dedicated guitar player and skilled in an unorthodox style of live looping which is anything but the run-of-the-mill "singer/songwriter". Her smokey vocals and passion for authentic musicianship creates a truly unique listening experience. MB began her full time professional music career at age 16 and since, has never held a "real" day job. She played cover shows in bars, nightclubs, and intimate venues 3 to 7 nights a week and is now focusing on her original music. She books as a solo or duo (drummer) act. She tours regularly around the New England area and is no stranger to traveling.

ANJIMILE: Anjimile is a queer, black indie artist based in Boston, MA. Their music is an expression of their unique, countercultural life experience, and their silky-smooth, virtuosic vocal style and emotionally-charged lyricism work together to create an indelible musical experience.
