Showcase Cinemas is proud to present a special screening of the new movie “Sweeney Killing Sweeney”! The film centers around aging Boston standup comic Sweeney, "The Character King" (Steve Sweeney) who gets a shot at a national cable special in Los Angeles. Sweeney is faced with the difficult decision to drop the locally referenced colorful Boston "characters" that have become a staple of his home field success. But, to his dismay, the characters that are cut from his act "come-to-life" and seek their revenge by trying to kill him. Sweeney is a gritty fantasy about never giving up on your dreams…no matter what kind of nightmares may come from them.
“Sweeney Killing Sweeney” will be playing at the Woburn, Randolph, Foxboro, Dedham, and Providence Showcase Cinemas locations on November 8th.
