Show and Tell - a demonstration of natural dyeing techniques and sustainability practices in art and fashion with Asia Kepka

Join us on Saturday, May 10 from 4-6 pm for a demonstration of natural dyeing techniques and sustainability practices in art and fashion with Asia Kepka. Kepka is known at 13FOREST for her photography, especially her series Horace and Agnes. However her talents are far-ranging, and she recently debuted her fashion brand Torbaciara. Kepka uses natural and sustainable practices to dye and adorn fabric to create one-of-a-kind clothing.

Kepka will discuss her process of foraging and recycling materials, and demonstrate how she works with natural dyeing techniques. Her demonstration serves as a contemporary counterpart to many of the plant based practices outlined in People Plants & Revolution, one of the public art projects featured in our current exhibition Untold Stories.
