One of Shakespeare's boldest plays, Measure for Measure tells the story of a duke struggling to restore justice to a broken society, a strict judge encountering his own depravity, and a novice nun pleading for the life of her incarcerated brother. Along the way it asks challenging questions about justice, mercy, power, and why we frequently leave appearances unquestioned.
Still Small Theatre is a touring troupe that seeks to help people connect with God and each other in new ways through theatre, and to raise awareness and funds for important causes. This performance benefits Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership to help combat domestic violence. Feel free to join us afterwards for an informal discussion with the cast about Shakespeare, violence, faith, or whatever the play brings to mind. Information will also be available on local services and volunteer opportunities.
Admission is "pay what you can" with a suggested donation range of $12-18 general admission and $5-7 student/senior. Donations will support the work of Still Small and Safe Havens.
Content warning: This play deals with difficult topics and may be triggering for survivors of abuse or assault. Not recommended for children.
