Sail Boston® 2026 – Tall Ships Return to Boston Harbor

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States at Sail Boston® 2026, an unforgettable international maritime celebration bringing tall ships and naval vessels from around the world to Boston Harbor from July 11–16, 2026. Visitors can experience the spectacular Parade of Sail, free public ship boarding, waterfront festivals, fireworks, educational activities, and cultural events throughout the city.

Meet Boston Parade of Sail – Saturday, July 11, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Watch majestic tall ships parade through Boston Harbor before docking along the waterfront. Prime viewing locations include Castle Island, the Seaport District, East Boston, the North End, and Charlestown.

Sail Boston Festival – July 11–15, 2026

Enjoy waterfront festivities, maritime exhibits, family-friendly programming, and international cultural celebrations.

Public Boarding of Ships – July 11–15, 2026

Many tall ships will be open for free public tours and educational experiences (subject to captain discretion).

Fireworks Over Boston Harbor – Saturday, July 11 & Wednesday, July 15

Fireworks will illuminate the harbor from a barge near Fan Pier, creating spectacular waterfront views.

Crew & Cadet Street Parade – Monday, July 13, 2026

International crews and cadets march through the city in a colorful celebration of maritime tradition.

Sail Boston® 2026 is expected to draw millions of visitors and feature ships from more than 25 countries as part of Sail250®, the nationwide commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary.
