How genetics can teach us what makes people sick
Almost all human traits and diseases are influenced by genetics. The last fifteen years has seen an amazing technological revolution in our ability to collect, analyze and interpret genetic data. In this event, Dr. Neale will describe how we go about evaluating what the impact of genetics is on human health and disease, what kinds of things we can learn from genetics, how genetics can generate important clues for developing new treatments, but also why it’s a long road from genetics to those treatments. He’ll also discuss what it takes to find these genetic clues and how you can help!
