Join the Quincy-based Schiller Boston Community Chorus and guest soloists for an afternoon of choral and vocal music. We are celebrating the real roots of American Classical culture and music by performing music of Antonin Dvorak, Harry Burleigh, Hall Johnson, Johannes Brahms, and more.


The great Czech composer, Dvorak (upon arriving in America in 1892) said: "In the 'Spirituals' of America, I have discovered all that is needed for a great and noble school of music. They are pathetic, tender, passionate, melancholy, solemn, religious, bold. The American musician understand these tunes and they move sentiment in him."
