MetaMovements is an entrepreneurial artist collective dedicated to using the arts as a tool for positive transformation of self and community, creating bonds, fostering meaningful relationships and creating lasting social change.


Every summer on Monday nights, in collaboration with partners, volunteers, friends and supporters, MetaMovements transforms the South End’s Blackstone Community Center building and courtyard park into a hub of positive activity promoting health and wellness through music, dance and education. For eight years, this free and popular outdoor summer series for all ages, backgrounds and abilities has been drawing over 500 people from all parts of Boston for free salsa instruction (dance and percussion), social dancing, kids activities, health promotion, fitness activities, high quality performances showcasing a variety of cultures and genres and more!
