THE WHY: As many of you know, we’re a bit behind in our #118forBoston total than we’d like to be (this winter has been COLD!), and this is a great opportunity to get everyone together to run #118forBoston.
THE WHAT: We’re going to all meet up at the Common by Park St. Station around 10, meet other runners who’ve heard about the event, and then go for a run! Or walk–we’re not exclusive. Anyone we can get there and get tracking we’re counting as a win. But wait… there’s more! A bunch of great companies like ENERGYbits, First Aid Shot Therapy, Hint Water, Inside Tracker and more will be there, all rallying for #118forBoston! Plus, you could be eligible to win some prizes for Sunday Runday! Learn more about that here.
THE WHO: You! C’mon. What were you expecting? We want all of you guys to show up in-force to really get this going. Tell your neighbors, beg your friends, drag your families, do whatever you can to spread the word! Getting this thing huge rests in no small part on your shoulders. Tweet, Facebook, Instagram, whatever! Let’s crush this! #SundayRunday #118forBoston

The tragic events at last year's Boston Marathon affected us deeply, as both a Boston company and a global fitness community. But we noticed something remarkable afterwards—that runners and fitness enthusiasts everywhere used their grief as fuel to push themselves to move more than ever.
For this year's event, we wanted to provide a way for everyone to work together and accomplish something big—wherever you are in the world. Join us as we track 118 million miles from March 1st to April 21st—the day of the 118th Boston Marathon—to celebrate this amazing event. Runs, walks, bike rides, or any distance-based activity you do in RunKeeper will count.
Watch as the miles rack up in real time, and join us as we chase down this big goal, by posting an activity in RunKeeper with the hashtag #118forBoston. If you do, your RunKeeper profile picture or your activity photos will make it into the image grid above.
