The National Park Service & Boston Harbor Now are pleased to present a story walk during April School Vacation Week.
The featured book, “Ruby’s Birds” written by Mya Thompson and illustrated by Claudia Dávila, tells the story of Ruby, a plucky young girl who uncovers the wild side of her city neighborhood. When Ruby realizes there are amazing birds right in her neighborhood, her imagination takes flight!
Ruby’s Birds is targeted for ages 3–7, but explorers of all ages are welcome to visit our story walk! Signage also features Spanish translations as well as audio versions in both English & Spanish.
The Story Walk will be at the Charlestown Navy Yard on Thursday April 22 & Friday April 23. It moves to the Boston Harbor Islands Welcome Center on the Rose Kennedy Greenway April 24 & 25.
Park rangers will be at the Visitor Center (Building 5) as well as the USS Constitution Museum to hand out Junior Ranger Day stickers from 11am to 2pm on both dates.
