The Roots of Brazilian Music series focuses on lesser-heard, acoustic Brazilian sounds: the instrumental virtuosity of Choro, sometimes refered to as a "brazilian ragtime", but featuring improvisation, like jazz.

The March 13 concert will feature two groups: A choro and samba ensemble led by 7-string guitarist Ricardo Borsato Faria (7:15-8:30) with singer Luiza Giardello, and a group led by multi-instrumentalist Eduardo Mercuri (8:45-9:45) guest vocalists will include Anna Borges and Bill Ward (of Receita de Samba) Admission$10 includes both shows To be informed of other Brazilian and Jazz events in the Boston area, follow
