With a reggae, R&B, and pop-driven sound, the reggae pop duo Maddakaya, formed by Peruvians Gabriel Peralta and Lorenzo Cuneo, seeks to elevate reggae to the same importance as other genres.

Safiya Leslie is a vocalist and New York City native who is pursuing a dual degree in music production and engineering and music business/management at Berklee College of Music.
