Robots are already revolutionizing the way manufacturing is conducted throughout the Commonwealth. Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology (BFIT) and Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) are co-hosting a panel discussion about robotics and automation at BFIT. Panelists include BFIT President Anthony Benoit, MIT Professor of Engineering Harry Asada, CyberWarrior Academy Founder Reinier Moquete, and Executive Director of MassRobotics Tom Ryden. AIM Board Member Leslie E. Greis will serve as the moderator.
The panel will discuss how robots and automation will affect the workplace and the need to prepare students for this new reality. There will also be an overview of the state of the art MIT TeachBot initiative sponsored by M212, ARM, and MassRobotics, which is testing automated delivery of manufacturing education as a way to expand the talent pool.
