On March 22, Sue Brady – the voice of WZLX’s Saturday mornings and board member of the David Ortiz Children’s Fund (DOCF) – will host a charity ride-and-row at Community Cycle in Dover in support of the #PinchRun4Papi Boston Marathon campaign. The #PinchRun4Papi campaign is an effort to raise an additional $170,000 by April 16 which would provide lifesaving heart surgeries for 34 children, the nonprofit’s mission. In partnership with MassGeneral Hospital for Children and CEDIMAT Hospital in Santo Domingo, Domican Republic, the organization has saved over 670 lives thus far and is hoping to break the 700-mark with this initiative.
Being a Boston Marathon veteran herself, top radio personality Brady understands the dedication and strength it takes to fulfill fundraising goals and cross the finish line on Marathon Monday. To support this year’s DOCF Marathon team of 12 devoted “pinch runners,” Brady will host an intense 45-minute spin or row class followed by a cool-down reception catered by Upper Crust complete with pizza, beer and wine. Supporters also will have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win gift cards to top area venues as well as purchase some signature David Ortiz merchandise that benefits the DOCF and this year’s #PinchRun4Papi initiative.
Tickets range from $26.20-$50.00 per person:
$50.00 - Charity ride or row class only
$26.20 - Reception only
To reserve your spot, please visit http://www.communitycycle.com/david-ortiz-childrens-fund-events.html. All ticket sales will be donated to the DOCF and space is granted in the order in which the request is received.
