Engaging with the idea of revolution and in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, this exhibition explores themes of revolution, justice, injustice, role of art, and the evolution of social and political ideas throughout American history.
The Coffee Shop Artists, a collective of artists from north of Boston, in collaboration with Creative Malden, another local artists' collective, are pleased to present "Revolutionary Art", an imaginative exhibition that honors the anniversary of the signing of the "Declaration of Independence" and highlights revolutionary figures or ideas from history to present day. Curated by artists Sally Gordon and Beth Copp, and on view from March 6th to 31st at 350 Main, Malden, MA, this exhibition explores artistic voices that challenge injustice, express resistance, celebrate historical social and political triumphs, inspire changes, and promote unity. The artwork also reflects on many ideals currently under scrutiny.
The opening reception is planned for Friday, March 6, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
