Historically, California’s lore as the “land of plenty” drew many to it, with people traveling from all over the globe to find their fortune in the Golden State. California is a state that has two distinctive culinary regions, and for this class we will consider its non-Hispanic fare, known as Anglo-Asian cuisine. Early pioneers from our east coast, and immigrants from Asia, together created an eclectic yet simple style of cooking that features locally sourced, in-season ingredients while using cooking techniques evocative of the state’s diverse population. Join Sheri to prepare and savor a meal that reflects the innovation that comes from a tasty fusion of ingredients and cultures!
