Nathan Richardson returns as Frederick Douglass this year for our annual Reading Frederick Douglass Together event at Hale Farm. This community reading of Frederick Douglass’s powerful speech, “What to the American Slave is the Fourth of July?” is a program that aims to foster dialogue and reflection on the themes of freedom, equality, and justice. Free and open to all.
To inquire about being a reader, email [email protected], or call 978-922-1186 x206.
This program is made possible by a grant from Mass Humanities, which provided funding through the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), a state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
