Reach the Peak

Join JB’s Keys to DMD for this family-friendly hike and celebration at Powisset Farm and Noanet Woodlands!

Hikers will meet at Powisset Farm for the start; times will be staggered to keep hikers spread out along the trail and provide an opportunity to cheer for Dover resident JB Harvey on either the ascent to Noanet Peak or the return to Powisset Farm. JB, who has Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, was an avid hiker as a young boy; the hike to iconic Noanet Peak was one of his favorites. As JB’s disease progressed, he was no longer able to reach Noanet Peak on foot. In November 2019, to the cheers of the local community and with the help of a Terrain Hopper all-terrain wheelchair vehicle, JB was able to summit Noanet Peak. Reach the Peak will continue the quest, as JB, now 14 years-old, embarks on the trail to reach Noanet Peak once again. Hikers will follow a pre-determined route (approx. 2.5 miles) to summit Noanet Peak, which boasts sweeping views of the surrounding area and the City of Boston skyline.

After hiking, celebrate JB at Powisset Farm with beautiful pastoral views, free hayrides, live music by Elle Brigida. Farm-fresh vegetable stew, beef chili, homemade foccacia bread, hot cider, craft beer and wine will be available for purchase.
