Re-Imagining the Music Industry w/ Kiran Gandhi 11/7 #FREE

This workshop is intended for musicians and DJs alike who are looking for new ways to expand their target audience, apply for a new gig or simply spend an hour reimagining the music industry. This workshop seeks to draw principles from traditional MBA topics like Blue Ocean Strategy and Human Centered Design and apply it to nontraditional fields like the music industry.

Kiran Gandhi is a force of nature. She plays drums and spent 2013 touring internationally with artist M.I.A. She graduated from Georgetown University in 2011 with a double major in mathematics and political science and used her passion for math and music to serve as Interscope Records's first data analyst between 2011-2013. She is currently at Harvard pursuing her MBA. Most exciting is her commitment to a more diverse and inclusive music industry built on an ethos of collaboration and contribution of hard skills. Kiran’s TEDx talk on “atomic living” embodies her belief that by holding your passions close to you, the rest of life will follow naturally, and furthermore, that this kind of thinking is needed to fearlessly pursue a career in music.
