Come wish the Radcliffe Choral Society well on their upcoming international summer tour to South America, in Argentina and Uruguay. The concert presents both celebrated American composer, Sally Lamb McCune, and her music of Appalachian inspiration, as well as pieces of cultural relevance to South America based on an Uruguayan poem and Argentinian composition, Te Quiero. Other music featured include Antonio Vivaldi, Camilo Matta, Jussi Chydenius, Sarah Quartel and others.
The Radcliffe Choral Society, founded in 1899, is a treble choral ensemble at Harvard University, currently under the direction of Dr. Andrew Clark and Dr. Hana Cai. The ensemble performs a distinctive repertoire spanning nine centuries of choral literature: sacred and secular, a cappella and accompanied, collaborative and choral-orchestral.
