WHAT: Mayor Thomas P. Koch invites Quincy residents and friends from the surrounding communities to join us at the 2nd annual Food Truck & Music Festival, Saturday, September 29th, Noon to 6:00PM.



The festival will take place on Coddington St. in Quincy Center. The festival will include 20 food trucks and vendors, a pig roast and demonstration with celebrity chef, Ray Alongi, a main music stage with 5 eclectic, celebrated bands, a kid’s area and stage located on the Thomas Crane Public Library lawn.



This year’s main stage entertainment lineup will include a long-awaited South Shore reunion show from Dick n Jane, Boston’s premiere cover band throughout much of the last decades and a half. Other acts include; Trouble, Somerville based Trusty Sidekick, 2018 “Rock Act of the Year” at the New England Music Awards, Analog Heart, Rolling Stone Magazine’s, “10 New Artists You Need To Know,” Ward Hayden & the Outliers (formerly Girls, Guns & Glory).



Mayor Koch noted. “this is the type of cultural event that brings our community out and together. As we move toward Quincy’s 400th anniversary celebration in 2025, we hope to offer more community and family events. It’s also a great opportunity to invite others to visit our historic city and all it has to offer and an event like this, a short walk from the Quincy Center T is a great way to do that.”



The main stage will host live music from Noon to 6:00PM, closing with a reunion show by Dick n Jane beginning at 4:30PM.
Kids performances will include Grammy Nominated Alastair Moock, the nationally recognized, Karen K & the Jitterbugs and the diverse musical world of The Mr. Aaron Band.


Trucks and vendors will include Across The Border, Ahha Roma, Purfection, Coffee Break Café, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, Mermaids Cape Cod, Montilio’s, Teri Tummy, Zaaki Food Truck, Jammed With Love, Maui Wowi, The Dapper Doughnut, Whoopie Wagon and Much More! For those 21+, there will be beer and wine with several craft beers provided by the Pour Garden.
