Named #1 Apple Orchard in the US by Newsweek and Best Pick Your Own Fruit Farm in Massachusetts by Yankee Magazine, Parlee Farms is a family owned and operated pick your own fruit farm. We are open mid June through the end of October for Strawberries, Cherries, Blueberries, Flowers, Peaches, Corn, Apples, Pumpkins, and more! We make our own Apple Cider Donuts and made from scratch bakery products that are sold in our farmstand. Mary’s Country Kitchen offers seasonal treats and ice cream. And don’t forget to play in the sand and visit our friendly farm animals at Annie’s Animal Barns and The Sandbox.
Apples
At Parlee Farms, our apple orchard covers over 22 acres. It is comprised of dwarf apple trees which, although small in stature, produce large, delicious apples. Typically from late August through October, we grow over 20 varieties of apples including Honey Crisp, MacIntosh, Gala, Early Fuji, Macoun, Crimson Crisp, Cortland, Royal Empire, Decoster Jonagold, Ludacrisp, Ambrosia, and Golden Delicious. A complete list of the apples we grow can be found below.
On weekends and fall holidays, hayrides are available to take you to the orchard and tour our beautiful farm. After picking, the hayride will bring you back to the Farmstand, where you continue your perfect fall afternoon.
Pumpkins
We grow over 13 acres of pumpkins in all sizes and shapes at our farm in Tyngsboro, MA (a short drive from Boston, MA – situated between Lowell, MA and Nashua, NH), from mini-pumpkins to pumpkins topping the scales at over 40 pounds. Those acres produce over 40,000 pumpkins! Enjoy the crisp fall air and warm sunshine while picking out the perfect jack-o-lantern!
During the pumpkin picking season, picking hours and prices can be found at Today’s Farm News. Check there to see if pumpkins will be available for your visit.
Other Activities
After you have found that perfect jack-o-lantern, go pick crisp, juicy apples in our Apple Orchard. And visit our Farmstand and take time to watch our Apple Cider Donuts being made right before your eyes. Or order a Warm Apple Crisp at Mary’s Country Kitchen to enjoy at one of our picnic tables. A visit to Annie’s Animal Barns to feed our friendly farm animals is great family activity. Daily updates available at Today’s Farm News.
