The more young children can do for themselves independently, the more confident they will become. At the toddler and preschool level, this can look like serving their own snack, choosing their own activity, cleaning up their own mess, and more. Kindergarten Teacher Amanda Cusanno will share ways you can adapt each area of your home environment to promote independence and extend learning as you go about your day.


Wellan’s free, virtual series, Montessori is for Everyone, is geared towards helping parents, caregivers, and educators discover the powerful benefits of Montessori methods and learn how to apply them at home. This March, we invite you to join us on Zoom for as many workshops as you’d like. Tuesday evenings will focus on Early Childhood and Thursday evenings will dive into the Elementary years.
