Always on the 1st Sunday in May on Boston Common, Project Bread's Walk for Hunger is the longest-running community event in the country that raises awareness about hunger and funds to support programs across Massachusetts that help residents access food!
Invisible, yet pervasive. Hunger impacts the lives of over 726,000 Massachusetts residents. It threatens the health and futures of 1 In 7 children in our state. But hunger is solvable, and the Walk funds hundreds of local programs across the state that provide multi-faceted solutions.
Together, we walk to send a powerful message about hunger. We see the people it hurts. Through the Walk, we will break down stigmas, and we won’t wait for change—we will create it.
