Gentlepersons and Peerage,
If you haven't yet heard, November 16th is going to be a splendid celebration, and you're invited! Duchess Rivington, new owner of Endicott Estate, is hosting an afternoon tea party, followed by a grand "Queen Mab" autumnal-themed masquerade ball, and everyone who is anyone will be there.
Pride Goeth Before the Fall is an immersive event where you and your fellow guests inhabit a fantastical world of 1813 in London. Come for the afternoon, evening, or both!
----
What to Expect
Join us on November 16th for a day-long immersive event. During the daytime, guests will take on the role of members of 19th-century Society attempting to discover secrets about a mysterious gateway into a Faerie Realm. In the evening, guests will enter the land of Faerie where they will enjoy a bountiful buffet dinner and a glorious masquerade ball. They can continue to play as the characters they created during the day, or take on alter-ego fae personas. Guests joining for just the evening are welcome to come as just faerie personas and not have to worry about creating a character at all.
Inspired by media like Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, Bridgerton, and Labyrinth, this is sure to be an evening to remember! All levels of experience and costuming are welcome!

The Scenario
Society is in a tizzy after the uncanny disappearance of Duke Rivington, the recent inheritor of Endicott Estate. The Duke was rumored to dabble in forbidden magics, and many were shocked to receive an invitation to this ball in his absence!
The event, hosted by the Duchess, Odette Rivington, is scandalously themed after Queen Mab, a recently published poem by an uncredited poet that has themes of societal reform and harmony with nature. It is to be a faerie masquerade. Nobles from around the globe flock to the social event of the season, setting their sights on solving the mystery, finding true love, securing their positions in court— or perhaps all of the above!

Period-piece Aesthetics, Inclusive Values
While we want you to enjoy the aesthetics of 19th century costumes and courtly drama, we want to be inclusive of people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, races, abilities, orientations, genders, ages, relationship statuses, and other protected statuses. For this reason, our setting is one in which all identities are accepted.
Where does the scandal come from, then? Simple, it’s status.
For example: It might be acceptable in the eyes of Society for a married Viscount to date outside of his open marriage, but if the other man he is dating has a reputation of being a rake? Well… that’s cause for gossip!
