Powisset Farm introduces its NEW Celebrity Chef Cooking Series! Chef Jay Hajj is kicking off this series with his high- energy personality, cooking expertise and giving heart. Jay is the owner of Boston's nationally acclaimed Mike's City Diner, a destination for foodies from around the world. Jay is the author of the cookbook "Beirut to Boston: Comfort Food Inspired By A Rags-To-Restaurants Story" and is a supporter of many charities. He was recently honored with an Outstanding Civic Engagement award and is headed overseas in 2020 to cook for our troops.
Join this exclusive hands-on cooking class, where Jay will show you how to make beloved recipes from his Lebanese heritage found in his cookbook. Learn to make:
Hummus - the authentic way, the only way
Manakish - savory traditional Lebanese street food flatbreads: Za’atar and Lahme Bi A Jeen
Kofta Casserole - a hearty entree of beef and lamb (kofta) infused with the distinct traditional flavors and potatoes
