Grab a drink and join us for a beginner-friendly pottery workshop at Downeast Cider House!
Our expert teacher will cover all the basics, and with step-by-step instructions, you'll learn to handbuild a pinch pot and how to transform it into a variety of functional pottery pieces like a hanging planter, a vase, or smiley planter pal, perfect for displaying a dried flower bouquet!
Details:
Sunday 6/22, 7/27, 8/31 or 9/28 from 1-3PM on the patio (weather permitting) at the Downeast Cider Eastie Pop-Up Cider Garden (located within: Boston Harbor Shipyard & Marina, 256 Marginal St. Boston, MA 02128), across from the Cider House, just before the shipyard docks.
Each ticket includes:
- Your first drink from Downeast to enjoy during class!
- 2 hour workshop on pottery basics, how to create pinch pots, coils, and how to transform them into a vase
- All the clay, tools, and materials needed to make your pottery pieces during the workshop
- Pottery trivia with fun prizes from small businesses
Note: You can let your piece of pottery air dry then paint it with the included paint. Or, to make your pottery waterproof + foodsafe, click here to upgrade to ceramic pieces, which includes glazing and firing of your creations.
